In November 2005, Critical Software obtained the NATO AQAP 2110 e AQAP 150 certification and was the first Portuguese company in Information Technologies achieving this quality goal.
The focus on Quality has lead to another achievement, this time in the Defence Area. The audit was performed during the days of 23 to 26 of September 2005, by the Gabinete de Engenharia e Qualidade da Direcção de Mecânica e Logística da Força Aérea Portuguesa, the department within Portuguese Air Force responsible for AQAP standards certification.
The AQAP 2110 has requirements that efficiently applied, enhance and guarantee that we, as a supplier have the ability to satisfy contractual defined requirements to any customer in this business area. These requirements imply the existence of an established, documented, implemented, maintained, monitored and improved Quality Management System.
The AQAP 150 requirements are oriented to projects and quality management of the software development process, with its focus either in technical and management processes.
These standard objectives are: - Establish visibility for the Software Development Process
- Detect problems in software quality earlier as possible in the development cycle
- Make quality data available for quality control
- Guarantee that quality is integrated with software development process
- Make sure that software artefacts satisfy contractual requirements
- Make sure that safety issues are taking into consideration
