ISO 9001:2000 & TickIT

PDF Print E-mail

The Critical Quality Management System is certified under the ISO 9001:2000 and the TickIT Guide (certificate number 32580) with the following scope of supply: "Development of software technologies for mission and business critical information systems and the provision of associated engineering and consulting services, design and development of customized software solutions to meet customer requirements."

ISO 9001:2000 is a standard used to develop and measure Quality Management Systems. It is an international quality management standard and framework for business-to-business dealings, focusing on meeting customer quality and applicable regulatory requirements, enhancing customer satisfaction and continually improving business performance from the initial contracting stage through the delivery of service.

ISO 9001:2000 certification guarantees Critical's Customers that a QMS is in place, enabling better systems processes and cost-effective management of the company. The implemented management framework helps identify any system gaps, provides a strong foundation for system improvement and assists in organisational compliance with other accreditation programs.

TickIT is an interpretation of ISO9001 developed by the UK government, especially "tuned" to deal with the special requirements of software development. It is possible to be certified to ISO 9001 without gaining TickIT, but ISO 9001 with TickIT is a mark of excellence! Critical was, in fact, the first Portuguese company to obtain the TickIT certification.
