Description: In an extremely dynamic company it is key to understand market trends, identify market requirements and support the growth of the company's market share. Critical is growing its business in the space software business at a very fast pace. By growing its business development team, the company will increase its ability to understand the market, identifying and tracking market requirements. Critical is eager to increase its space segment footprint, be it through the creation of new capabilities, or through the recurrent use of already existing products. This role is suitable for motivated and energetic individuals looking for a rewarding career in the space market.
Responsibilities: Through the execution of marketing plans the BDM has many concurrent goals of which the most relevant are: liaising with existing or prospect customers, maintain the company’s knowledge with regard to the space market, identify, evaluate and manage opportunities. The role covers the full opportunity lifecycle from meeting a new prospect to the account management of won contracts, including opportunity generation as well as support to proposal and liaison with customers.
Qualifications and Experience: The candidate must have extremely good communication skills and have a solid technical track record, preferably in areas related to the space business. Solid knowledge of embedded real-time programming, development lifecycle, namely requirements elicitation, high-level design, verification and validation is required. A sound knowledge of space system engineering, project phases, standards is desirable. A degree in computer science or related subject is desirable. Good planning skills and ability to deal with complexity and a large number of concurrent activities is essential.
