Description:
Critical Software, a software engineering company with a strong presence in the international markets and high growth profile looks for a Software Engineers to integrate a team working in Yeovil, United Kingdom.
The candidate will be integrated in a team supporting the development and implementation of Ground Stations Software in the context of
  • Aircraft maintenance;
  • Electronic Maintenance Management Systems;
  • Systems Engineering (Aircraft systems/Avionics);
  • Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS);
  • Database systems (requirements and design);

Responsibilities:
The candidate will work throughout the various phases of the software development lifecycle, from documenting requirements, designing database structures, populate and maintain databases, to testing and customer support. The candidate will be responsible to fill different roles inside the development team (developer, reviewer, QA, tester, etc), and act proactively in quality assurance and product assurance.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Must have excellent documentation skills (requirements, design, reviews, etc) and master of the English language;
  • Successful delivery of complex Information Systems solutions within a team environment
  • Software development experience using Java, .NET, SQL
  • Good understanding of current technologies and standards (UML is a must)
  • Understanding of business process modelling, workflows and dataflows
  • Analytical mind
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills
  • Must be capable of interfacing with customers, suppliers and collaborators
  • Desired to have good understanding of processes and standards employed within Customer Support environments in the Aerospace & Defence Industry
  • Availability to travel abroad;
