Description:
Critical is growing it's business in the Space and Aeronautics sectors at a very fast pace. In such dynamic business environments it is important to understand market trends and identify market requirements, hence supporting the growth of the company's market share. Doing business development for Critical involves having a deep knowledge of markets, planning market approach, executing marketing and sales plans and meeting market requirements with a customer centric approach. Critical goals for these sectors are ambitious. The Business Development for the ASD market is now looking to fill two existing vacancies: Space/Ground Segment (Ref. A) and Aeronautics (Ref. B). These roles are suitable for motivated and energetic individuals looking for a rewarding career in the aerospace market.

Responsibilities:
Through the executing of marketing plans the business development managers have many concurrent goals of which the most relevant are: liaising with existing or prospect customers, maintaining the company’s knowledge with regard to the aerospace market, identify, evaluate and manage opportunities. The role covers the full opportunity lifecycle from meeting a new prospect to the account management of won contracts, including opportunity generation as well as support to proposal and liaison with customers. Both roles will be based in Europe, preferably Portugal or United Kingdom, and will require frequent travelling, mostly within the EU.

Qualifications and Experience:
The candidate must have extremely good communication skills and have a solid technical track record, preferably in areas related to the space/aeronautics business. Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle, namely requirements elicitation, high-level design, verification and validation, and related relevant standards is required. A sound knowledge of space/aeronautics system engineering, project phases, standards is desirable. A degree in computer science or related subject is desirable. A good track record of sales or business development in the aeronautics and/or space market is desirable. Good planning skills and ability to deal with complexity and a large number of concurrent activities are essential.
