Critical Software signs agreement with the company Águas de Moçambique
Portuguese technology consolidates its presence in Africa, with a new subsidiary

Maputo, Mozambique, 17th December, 2009 - Critical Software announced the establishment of a subsidiary in Mozambique and the signing of a contract with the company Águas de Moçambique, to provide consulting services and system integration. Critical Software consolidates a sustained presence in Mozambique, which started in 2001, having since supported the development of some of its more prestigious companies and public entities. Now Critical Software takes another important step in the establishment of its Mozambican subsidiary.
In line with its position, Critical Software Mozambique will focus in the development of critical solutions for business support, in specific vertical markets, supported by advanced software technology, in referenced methodologies and in processes aligned with international best-practices. "At a first stage, we will focus our attention in Telecom, Financial Services, and Public Administration, Energy & Utilities", establishes Rui Pereira Melo, Executive administrator for the Mozambican Subsidiary.
The contract with Águas de Moçambique aims to "provide Consulting Services and Integration, namely in the area of Oracle Database Administration and Optimization", explains Rui Pereira Melo.
Critical Software Mozambique's client portfolio already includes reference institutions within Mozambique, as the telecom companies TdM and mCel, the financial institution BCI, the municipal council of Maputo and oil company Petrogal Moçambique, among others. Its growth objectives are aggressive and include doubling, in two years time, their sales volume in the Mozambican territory.
