Critical is involved in the Portuguese Aeronautics Industry Consortium (PAIC), established with the purpose of developing systems for Unmanned Aircraft Vehicles (UAVs) in partnership with Lockheed-Martin. Apart from the aircraft, the project will develop and build the entire system including onboard sensors, avionics equipment and mission control stations. This consortium of 12 Portuguese institutions and companies will invest a total of 10 million Euros in five years and is already provided by a capital investment of 1,5 million Euros for 2009.
