SARAe Conference - 2010.02.10

SARAe Conference

14 Jan 2010

This event aims to present the project and disseminate its main results, highlighting SARA tech, the SARAe's main output. SARA tech is a software system designed to address professional management of environmental data that supports the environmental liability evaluation process. SARA tech is customizable for specific customers' needs under the environmental liability directive (ELD).

SARAe Conference will be held on the morning of February 10, 2010, in the VIP Grand Lisboa Hotel, with participant's reception beginning at 9.30 am. Detailed information about the Conference Program is available here.

SARAe's specific goals are: To develop and demonstrate the usefulness of a prototype software, SARA tech, serving as an information, analysis and decision system to facilitate ELD application that accommodates the early phases of the environmental liability evaluation process; integrates capacities of storage, processing and visualization of information (e.g., alert system of imminent threat and/or environmental damages). Also a SARAe goal is to build a Case Study - Portucel Setúbal Pulp Mill on the Sado River Estuary, allowing for the validation of the methodology and the software system; the identification of responsibilities, technical and financial resources needs; the characterization of the operator's environmental liability profile.

SARAe project is developed by a consortium formed by E.Value and Critical Software.

SARAe project is approved by the System of Incentives for Research and Technological Development (SI I&DT) of the National Strategic Reference Framework (QREN), co-funded by European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) through the Operational Program Competitiveness Factors (POFC).
