Critical Software has been recognized for its commitment and outstanding contribution to the success of the International Year of Astronomy in Portugal, by International Astronomical Union. Critical Software is proud to receive this recognition for its willing contribution to the highlighting of the fundamental role of astronomy in science education and of space exploration in human knowledge. 

The Year was declared by the 62nd General Assembly of the United Nations, and is endorsed by UNESCO, having had the support of many important names in the space industry.
