ESA’s Vega Launcher Makes Successful Maiden Flight

The European Space Agency’s (ESA) new Vega launcher made a successful maiden flight on February 13th, departing from French Guyana, and is now a part of the European offer of launchers along with the Ariane 5 and Soyuz currently in service.
Critical was involved with the Vega project, which started in 2003, making several RAMS analysis tests.
With Vega, Europe now has a large range of space vehicles for launching, from small satellites for scientific purposes or for observing the Earth, to wider missions like loading cargo onto the International Space Station.
