Oversee was recently nominated for an IMRF ‘Honouring Excellence in Rescue Operations’ (HERO) award for its role in helping to revolutionise global Search & Rescue operations.
The annual awards ceremony examines the life-saving work that takes place in the maritime sector each year. It brings together the world’s leading authorities, technologies and solutions in Search and Rescue operations in celebration of the most inspirational missions and success stories.
Oversee was nominated for a H.E.R.O. award for its track record supporting maritime and coastal organisations in tackling their responsibilities more effectively and efficiently – revolutionising Search and Rescue operations and providing unprecedented situational awareness. The system is already used by leading organisations like the Portuguese Navy and the Irish Coast Guard and is fully-compliant with IMO regulations and recommendations, including IAMSAR.
Ricardo Maia, Product Manager of Oversee, stated: “This is yet further recognition from the international maritime industry of Oversee’s ability to transform Search & Rescue operations. Building on Oversee’s previous award wins, we’re delighted to have been nominated for a H.E.R.O. award and look forward to continuing to contribute to a safer and more secure maritime environment.”
