This marks the fifth time Critical Software has been recognized by the DCC, following consecutive Partnership Awards from 2019 through 2022.

The award, contested by major players in the energy and utilities sector—including Capgemini, CGI, Accenture, and Vodafone—highlights the strength of Critical’s partnership with the DCC as the UK continues its smart meter rollout.

Since the program’s launch in 2011, over 29 million meters have been installed, enabling homes and businesses to connect, monitor, and manage energy use in real time. Smart meters are central to the UK’s Net Zero goals, and progress is measurable: over 1 million tons of CO₂ emissions were saved during 2023.

Tim Fawbert, DCC Key Account Manager at Critical Software, commented: “The team at Critical Software has really rolled up its sleeves this year, so we’re extremely proud to have our hard work recognized by the DCC. Perseverance and striving for excellence are core to everything we do at Critical. It’s fantastic to see this approach paying off, both in our delivery of ECOS and in our ongoing involvement with the 4G communications hub program.”
