Critical Software Awarded DCC Partnership Prize For Third Consecutive Year

Critical Software is delighted to announce that it has received the Partnership Award from the Data Communications Company (DCC) for the third year running, acknowledging its exemplary performance as a supplier to the company.

The Partnership Award recognises suppliers who go above and beyond in their cooperation with the DCC and other service providers forming part of the UK’s smart meter rollout, which continues at pace. In February, the programme reached a major milestone in installing its 10 millionth smart meter in the UK.

Each year, the DCC awards suppliers who display excellence in any one of four categories: Partnership, Excellence, Ingenuity and Personal Impact.

Responding to the win, Matt Brake, the Division Director for Smart Technology Services at Critical, commented: “It is testament to the hard work of the Critical team that we have received the DCC Partnership Award for the third year in a row. We strive to engage with the DCC and the other DCC suppliers in an open and positive way, which helps us develop stronger relationships and deliver more efficiently. It is wonderful to have this acknowledged again and we are very grateful for the continued trust the DCC have in us.”

Mike Hewitt, CTO at the DCC, added: “Critical Software constantly demonstrates commitment, drive and passion in its work with the DCC. From the top down, the message is clear: Critical are working in effective partnership with the company. This shines through in the work ethos they bring to the delivery of projects and the ongoing support they offer. It comes across very clearly that everyone from Critical is enthusiastic about cooperating seamlessly with the wider DCC team to enable an open and collaborative working relationship.”

Our award comes hot on the heels of several other major achievements in the Energy sector in 2021, from becoming the sole Test House for the Smart Meter Device Assurance (SMDA) programme to being one of the first players in the industry to launch a dedicated SAPC assessment service.
