Critical Software Heads to Sea-Air-Space Expo and PT-US Defense Industry Days
Strengthening U.S. presence through a landmark Portuguese defense industry mission in Washington, D.C.

Critical Software will participate in the Sea-Air-Space Expo and the inaugural PT-US Defense Industry Days, taking place in Washington, D.C., from April 20 to 23. We are joining more than twenty Portuguese companies in the first structured national defense industry mission of its kind to the United States. The initiative, organized by key Portuguese defense and trade institutions in close cooperation with U.S. partners, aims to strengthen the visibility and positioning of Portugal’s defense sector in the world’s largest defense market.
“This will give us the opportunity to create and renew contacts, with a view not only to expanding our export activities, but also to consolidating the work we carry out directly through engineering in the United States,” said Rodrigo Pascoal, ASD Business Development Director at Critical Software.
We will take part in two key moments of the mission in Washington, D.C., including the Sea-Air-Space Expo (April 20–22), where Portugal will be represented by a joint national stand featuring more than twenty defense companies and where we will showcase our capabilities alongside national peers. The Industry Days program, taking place on April 22 and 23, will include institutional presentations from participating Portuguese and American companies, as well as B2B meetings between representatives from both defense industries.
Over the past five years, we have created and supported more than 100 jobs in the US. In the same period, U.S.-based clients have played a significant role in the company’s business, particularly in the Medical Devices and Aerospace & Defense sectors, representing around 30% of total revenue.
